Payment Policy (from January 2025)
Our payment policy applies to subscription fees and all events run by 26th Bournemouth Scout Group.

Subscriptions
​
The monthly subscriptions are requested on the 6th of each month and can be paid up to one week before they are due. When using the auto payment subscription option within OSM, this will be automatically processed on the 6th of the
Subscriptions are due the month after your child's first attendance. Subscriptions are paid during all twelve months of the year and are continuous when moving between sections.

Non-Payment
​
Payments not received by the 6th of the following month are overdue and you will be emailed advising you have 14 days to make payment. If there is a waiting list for your section and subs payment is still outstanding after 14 days, your place will be withdrawn and will be offered to the next person on our waiting list. Should you wish for your child to rejoin the group again you will need join the waiting list for another available place.

Failed Payments
​
Our payment processor charges a fee for declined payments which has to be paid by the 26th Bournemouth Scout Group. We reserve the right recover any declined payment charges from you at a later date.

Events
​
By signing up to an event, you are agreeing to pay the charges that have been outlined. No place is confirmed until a deposit or full payment has been received. Where full payment is not received by the deadline, your child’s place can be withdrawn and offered to another child.

Cancellation by You
​
If your child is unable to attend an event they have been booked to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. If we are able to successfully allocate your place to another child, we will be able to offer a refund of monies minus a 10% handling charge which will be charged to cover the OSM costs. If we are unable to find anyone to take their place, we may be unable to offer you a refund.

Cancellation by 26th Bournemouth
​
In the event that the 26th Bournemouth Scout Group has to cancel an event, every effort will be made to return all monies paid. Where an event has to be cancelled as a result of a third party providing services to the 26th Bournemouth Scout Group, we will make every effort to retrieve all monies paid and refund any unspent money. This may mean that some costs cannot be refunded.
PLEASE NOTE: If finances are a barrier to your child attending an event with the 26th Bournemouth Scout Group, please speak to their section leader in confidence. Alternatively drop a message to Toby Baverstock, our Group Lead Volunteer, who can talk you through the ways we may be able to help.
